Finding good help to run a business is not easy. I should know considering that I've hired and managed a staff in both the retail and service industries. If you are looking for someone that knows how to add value to an organization from a variety of perspectives, then perhaps you've just found the right person. When I work somewhere it's not just a job for me, it's something I am personally committed to making a success -- if who I'm working for is not successful then I don't feel successful personally. I have real experience in almost all aspects of running a business including working with clients/suppliers, procurement, negotiating contracts, accounting, and managing employees. I'm both an analytical thinker that can track and measure factors to make good business decisions as well as a strong communicator that enjoys working with others.

My first criteria for a new position is a "nine to five" schedule. In fact, stable hours comes before even seniority or location, so for example if you need an assistant to help run a small business and think I am overqualified, you might want to reconsider -- we could very well work something out.

I currently manage a Target store in San Antonio that generates $2.7 million in monthly revenue and oversee a staff of 200 employees. Running a well located department store of this size is demanding; it's a high intensity environment where I am fully dedicated to developing my team and keeping operations running. The only part of my current position that I wish I could change is the schedule - I need my beauty rest!

Some interesting things I've learned about the retail industry is that it revolves around cyclical purchasing patterns.... I spent much of my 20's working for a Japanese restaurant business called Sushi Zushi. The owners and management quickly realized that I could bring value to their business in a myriad of ways -- I was given the opporunity to both manage and consult for the company. Some of the more interesting activites I got involved in were bar design, marketing, and hiring. Eight additional restuarants were opened following many of the best practices and innovative policies that I developed at one of the original venues.

I was born in Tae Jon, South Korea and grew up traveling almost on a yearly basis because of my father's service in the US Marines. Some of the favorite places that I've lived have been Washington, DC and Rota, Spain. I can speak Spanish at an intermediate level and I'm fluent in Korean. Having the experience of living in other countries and the perspective of other cultures definitely influences my leadership style. I'm the type of person that is comfortable in nearly any environment and I've been told I have a natural intuition for understanding a diverse range of people despite their background or skillset.

I'm the type of person that enjoys planning. When I'm on vacation I enjoy organizing every activity throughout the week even if the plan isn't followed :) I'm known for paying attention to detail and remembering facts or conversations from years prior. I'm also highly skilled at Tetris (especially the original gameboy version).

Various forms of art are also a passion for me -- I often enjoy spending my free time painting....
